The impulse to create an image is predicated on a notion of borrowing a certain stillness, and a camera is the tool for freezing these fractions of moments in time. As a historian makes records of spoken words, the artist makes records of experienced feelings. The process of noticing is an ongoing effort to apply decisions around framing, lighting, and later processing.

This untitled collection of work is driven by sensitivity navigating an internal compass; North points to some idea of inner truth. Each image offers an ambiguous canvas to channel inner turmoil into metaphysical peace. The intended effect is something of a liminal siesta.
